In this tutorial, I am going to explain the procedure of installing Google Chrome on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. For other Linux distributions. please visit how to install Chrome on CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, and OpenSUSE.
Prerequisites
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
- Root account or an account with sudo privileges
Installing Google Chrome Web Browser on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
Download the Google Chrome rpm package using wget command.
wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
Go to the directory where a file has been downloaded. In our case, it is in our current directory.
Install the Chrome browser with the help of DNF command as follows.
sudo dnf install google-chrome-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
Launching Google Chrome
On the terminal, type:
google-chrome
Uninstalling or Removing Google Chrome Web Browser from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
Type the following on the terminal.
sudo dnf remove google-chrome-stable
